Elegy For A Damned Individual

Easter Sunday 2022

Elegy For A Damned Individual is an independent film made by college students from the University of Michigan and across the country. It follows the lives of four degenerates: Vanya, E, Danny, and Marshall Law after their benefactor, Jazz Ukulele Virtuoso Hermann Mundungus, dies under mysterious circumstances. Watch as they try to cope with this unexpected loss in a psychadelic and psychological experience that has at once been compared to The Monkees' "Head" and Buñuel's "The Exterminating Angel".

From the director: "Weep, ye bozos, for you have come across the film that will illuminate the firmament for years and decades to come! Brought to you straight from a basement, a garage, a field, and an alleyway, we will observe the plights and folly of man and beast alike, until there are no more words left to speak and rational thought has been cast into the æther. Felicitations to you all on this joyous occasion."

Content Warning: mentions of sexual assault, instances and evidence of drug use and drug overdose, instances of domestic violence, artistic/pseudorealistic blood, both extensive discussion and depiction of death, gun and knife use as weapons, vomiting, sexual themes and visible masturbation.
